New York University
75 posts in 4 threads

A modern testament to education, New York City has some of the most prestigious schools in the country. The center of NYU is its Washington Square campus in the heart of Greenwich Village. One of the city's most creative and active communities, the Village is a historic neighborhood that has attracted generations of writers, musicians, artists, and intellectuals.

NYU, in keeping with its founder’s vision, is “in and of the city”: the University – which has no walls and no gates – is deeply intertwined with New York City, drawing inspiration from its vitality.

The park boasts several lakes, theaters, ice rinks, fountains, tennis courts, baseball fields, many playgrounds and other facilities. It is also home to the Central Park Zoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Especially during the weekends, when cars are not allowed into the park, Central Park is a welcome oasis in this hectic city.

The White Rabbit

The White Rabbit is not publicized, and only accessible by those touched by magick. Found at the end of a dim alley, a single bulb illuminates a battered security door. Inside, though, a long hallway takes you to the bouncer, who shows you a card. Guess the card's figure correctly, and you are granted entrance.

Hex and the City
21 posts in 1 thread

Hex and the City is an occult store that is never found in the same place twice. It is a way station to the Never-Never. The Never-Never is the spirit world that exists alongside our own as a (sort of) alternate dimension, but its shape is not the same as the Mortal world. The Never-Never is vast, much, much larger than the human world, perhaps infinite.

Santiago Hotel
52 posts in 2 threads

The Santiago Suites hotel crawled across almost two blocks of waterfront, in what is known as New York's financial district. A virtual completely restored old dockside warehouse of pale brick and darkly contrasted square pane windows. The exterior of the building has a rugged, old-world style that is not a precursor to the lavish interior.

Once you step through past the doorman controlled entrance you go from old world to new age. Clean lines, modern decor with a hint of the old style flare. The colors are combined to breed a feeling of relaxation and home. Coupled with a friendly and attentive staff, Santiago Suites a home away from home for the business person to the family of four or more.

Joe's Coffee

Joe's Coffee is a New York tradition since 2003 when a man in the West Village had a dream. His vision was to provide people with a specialty coffee house experience. Brewing high-quality, unique coffee's coupled with speedy service, knowledgeable staff, and the hospitality one could only find in their home, it would be a return to simpler times. The decor is austere, with clean lines and a friendly environment designed to focus on the only thing that matters, your cup of "joe".

Enchantment's was New York's oldest occult shop, nestled on 9th street between King Bee's and Lovesmore & Do. inside the cramped store is row after row of neatly lined up books with their spines facing outward, colour coded with dots, and further arranged in alphabetical order. A white cat walks along the stacks, and her black counterpart lounges lazily by tables of incense.
